Atomic Comics - Artifacts #1 lands this week and it represents something pretty spectacular. This really is unification of the Top Cow Universe…is it not?
Ron Marz - It’s a story that involves the entire Top Cow Universe, absolutely. We have two pretty distinct aspects to the Universe, a supernatural side with books like Witchblade and The Darkness, and a sci-fi or tech-oriented side, which is stuff like Cyberforce and Hunter-Killer. Despite initially being more of a supernatural story, Artifacts brings together those two sides in a major way.

Atomic Comics - Larry, I don’t think that anyone would correct me if I were to call you the Godfather of G.I. Joe. Pretty much any and all G.I. Joe material is compared to yours. What’s it like being held in such high esteem by fans and creators alike?
Larry Hama - I am still flabbergasted by it. While it was being done, I just thought of it all as ephemera - nobody in fandom was taking it seriously and it was totally ignored in the fan press.
